Got my Barclay's Premiere League fix this weekend, feeling much better now.
The first game Saturday, Everton vs. Arsenal, was just awful. Arsenal scored at will against the Everton defence. They were beautiful goals, and Arsenal's play was sharp for the most part, but still, you expect Everton to be more competitive. They are better than they played.
The Burnley vs. Stoke City match was much better. I'm liking Burnley, even though they lost. They just moved up to the Premiere League, so they've got a lot to prove, and in the second half they proved they can play at this level. Playing is one thing. To compete, they need to learn how to finish. Players to watch are Wade Elliot and newly-signed Fernando Cuerrero.
