At last... really, it's only been a few days (of silent hell)... I can announce that I've been offered a two-book deal with Macmillan/St. Martin's Press' mystery imprint, Minotaur Books.
Hot damn! And I didn't even have to sell my soul to the devil.

OMFG
Something I learned today:
James Lee Burke's "novel, The Lost Get-Back Boogie, was rejected 111 times over a period of nine years, and upon publication by Louisiana State University press was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize."
James Lee Burke is one of my favorite living writers. He is a master storyteller. When I began writing my novel, Ghost in the Camera Eye (former title - Shades of Black), I hoped my story would be half as good as something he wrote.
Ghost in the Camera Eye now has an agent - Peter Riva.
